General conditions for reservations and cancellations and rules and regulations

GENERAL BOOKING AND CANCELLATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Within the accommodation facilities and furnished apartments of Time Hostel.

These conditions shall apply to any apartment rental or accommodation reservations unless another specific agreement has been concluded. These conditions shall also apply to such online accommodation reservations that are made through the Time Hostel website.

1. RESERVATION AND CONFIRMATION

During the reservation, you must provide your name, address, time of arrival and departure, and the method of payment. The reservation becomes binding on the hotel once it has been confirmed verbally, in writing, or via email, for example, and once you have received a confirmation number for the reservation. The hotel may set various rules as the condition for making a reservation, such as the payment of a reservation fee or the confirmation of a reservation using a credit card as a requirement for the validity of a reservation. Time Hostel shall have the right to charge the entire amount payable for the reservation in advance immediately following the confirmation.

2. ARRIVAL AT AND DEPARTURE FROM THE HOTEL

The room will be made available to you at 16:00 on the date of arrival and must be vacated on the date of departure by 11:00 when staying at the Hostel and by 12:00 when staying in a furnished apartment. Time Hostel may further specify arrival and departure times derogating from the above. For safety reasons, only the personnel and persons who have checked in to the hotel are allowed into the hotel rooms and other reserved areas. The room and space specific occupancy limits may not be exceeded.

Unless otherwise agreed during the reservation or unless other terms and conditions apply to your chosen price or time of reservation, the room will be reserved for you until 18:00 on the date of arrival specified in the reservation. If you arrive later than this, you must confirm your late arrival with a credit card or by some other means. Otherwise, the hotel may resell the room. If you have paid the reservation in full in advance, you can arrive at the accommodation after 16:00 at any time, without separate notification. If you arrive at the hotel observing the arrival times, but the room you have reserved is not available, the hotel is obligated to procure you the nearest available room of comparable standard without any additional cost.

3. RESERVATION GUARANTEE

To ensure a reservation, the reservation must be paid in advance, unless otherwise agreed. In case of business invoicing, invoicing information is provided to confirm the reservation.

4. CANCELLATION AND NONARRIVAL

Unless otherwise agreed during the reservation or unless other terms and conditions apply to your chosen price or time of reservation, the reservation must be cancelled no later than 7 days before the check in time. If you fail arrive, Time Hostel shall have the right to charge you the total price of the reservation including taxes and any additional services related to the reservation as compensation.

5. DEPARTURE BEFORE THE AGREED UPON TIME

If you leave before the agreed upon departure time, you must notify Time Hostel of your departure. If your reservation was made for multiple nights, you must pay the agreed upon price for the remaining time. A departure before the agreed upon time may also cause a change in the total accommodation price.

6. PAYMENTS

The reservation must be paid no later than by 16:00 on the day before the check-in day. The reservation may also be paid in instalments under a separate agreement.
If Time Hostel has not charged your credit card in advance for confirmation purposes, Time Hostel shall have the right to charge the reservation fee in full as the customer checks in. Time Hostel accepts most commonly used payment cards. However, Time Hostel is not obligated to accept foreign currencies, vouchers, checks, or payment cards unless the hotel has offered to do so. With regard to holders of international credit cards, Time Hostel shall have the right to charge an advance confirmation fee from the credit card during reservation. A reservation fee specified by the hotel may be charged from the credit card as an advance payment during the reservation, which shall be deducted from the final invoice. Time Hostel shall have the right to charge the entire amount payable for the reservation in advance immediately following the confirmation.

7. PAYMENT SERVICE PROVIDER

The payment service is provided by Paytrail Oyj (business ID: 2122839-7) in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj appears as the recipient of the payment on the bank statement or credit card invoice and forwards the payment to the seller. Paytrail Oyj is a licensed payment institution. In case of any complaints, please contact the product seller first.

Please note that Paytrail charges a payment surcharge (€1 – €2) corresponding to each payment method in addition to the purchase amount. In the event of cancellation, the payment surcharge will not be refunded.

8. CUSTOMER CONDUCT

Accepted principles of morality and the rules and regulations must be complied with in our facilities. Each facility has specific rules, which the person making a reservation must comply with. In general, each person must tidy up after themselves, do the dishes, and take out the garbage. Any breach of these rules may lead to your immediate removal from the reserved facility and result in a payment of up to 500 euros for damages. You will still be required to pay the price of your accommodation and any additional services without being entitled to a refund of any payments already made. For safety reasons, only the personnel and persons who have checked in to the hotel are allowed into the hotel rooms and other reserved areas. The room and space specific occupancy limits may not be exceeded. The facilities may not be used for conducting business byallowing third parties to access the facilities.

9. RESPONSIBILITY FOR CUSTOMER’S PROPERTY

You are personally responsible for your luggage. Time Hostel shall not be responsible for any property of the customer at the reserved facility. Time Hostel shall not be held responsible for damage to, or loss of a vehicle parked in the hotel’s parking area or any property inside said vehicle.
